StoryBreak ("we", "us", or "our") operates storybreak.app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your name (if provided via OAuth sign-in)
• Profile picture (if provided via OAuth sign-in)

When you use the app, we store:

• Your story projects, scene cards, and notes
• Your account preferences and settings
• Purchase status (free or Pro)

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To provide and operate the StoryBreak service
• To sync your projects across devices
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, purchase receipts)
• To send occasional product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To provide customer support

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services to operate StoryBreak:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Gumroad — payment processing. We do not store your payment information. Gumroad Privacy Policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Resend Privacy Policy

OAUTH SIGN-IN

If you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Discord, we receive your email address and basic profile information from those services. We do not receive or store your passwords. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Account section inside the app. Deleting your account permanently removes all your projects and personal data from our systems.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your project data at any time using the in-app export features

COOKIES

StoryBreak uses browser local storage to save your session and project data locally. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

StoryBreak is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of StoryBreak after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
